Bill's Berry Farm

This Saturday we headed over to Bill's Berry Farm.  The last time we were there it was for making apple cider.  This time we were going for cherries and blueberries.  It was slated to be a hot day, so we left first thing, and got there shortly after they opened.  It had just rained, and there was still some cloud cover, so the weather was really nice.  The orchards were kind of muddy, and they had the big blowers running, but that was a small price to pay for not being too hot.

Levi was in fruit-lover's heaven!
Harrison was very careful about the cherries he put into his bucket.  Only the most  ripe, blemish free cherries made it in his bucket.

The mud was making Olivia a bit grumpy.  This girl does not like dirty toes.
Levi did not want to leave the cherries!  "Hey, guys, you missed some. Over here!"
A trip to Bill's Berry Farm is not complete without a sampling of their fresh hot doughnuts.  This made up for the muddy toes, I think.

We took a break from picking to take some pictures, eat some doughnuts and play on the play ground.

Then it was back to the fields for blueberries.

Levi was a two fisted picker, and not very discerning.   But he would have eaten blueberries all day if we had let him.
Apparently next year they'll have blackberries, raspberries and strawberries.  I can't wait!  And we'll be back in the fall for the apple and pumpkin festival as well.  We love Bill's Berry Farm.

  1. I wish we had something like this close by! It's been in the hundreds here for several days and just seeing Livie in jeans made me need a drink of water.

  2. I loved getting caught up on all of your posts!

The older boys look so old, it is kind of freaking me out.

That picture of Olivia being sad is so stinkin' cute (don't get me wrong, I feel bad, but it is just darling of her).

And that baby. Oh man, he is one adorable boy.

Glad you guys are doing well!
